River Isle, Ribandar

River Isle is located on the banks of the river of Old Goa, bang opposite the ferry port, which rides across to beautiful Divar island. A quaint little restaurant, with a spectacular view of the river and all the marine activity serves a wide variety of delicacies. Don’t miss out any of these dishes I have recommended, it’s to die for. The chef & owner of the restaurant, Chef Rohit is also featured as our Chef of The Month, March 2016

Strawberry cooler - A seasonal strawberry cooler by the river!! Made with mint & ice, with fresh strawberries & topped with soda, this mocktail would surely provide relief from the Goan heat.

Kiwi mint martini - A refreshing cocktail. Martini made with vodka, kiwi, mint & lime. Yum!

Greek Salad - The classic Greek salad made with cucumber, peppers, lettuce & olives, topped with feta cheese crumbs.
Crispy Garlic chili prawns - For all you sea food lovers. Batter fried prawns, tossed in a sauce made from garlic & chili. You have too try it & see for your self..
Paneer & potato croquettes - For all you vegetarians, a new dish on the block!! Cottage cheese & potato, mashed & mixed with aromatic spices, breaded & fried. Served with a sweet chili sauce.
Beef Sukha with poi - Reminds me of the famous beef Sukha from Kerala, but with the Chef’s  twist. Perfectly served with a side of poi and highly recommended by me.
Crab Masala - Soft shell sea crab, slow cooked with a perfect blend of spices, served with a side of steamed white rice. One of the best crab masala I have ever had.
Creme Caramel - The classic Goan Caramel custard is the best way to end a meal in Goa. Made from milk, eggs & a hint of nutmeg, this pudding is to die for. It is subtlety sweetened & served with a caramel sauce.
