Saligao Stories, Saligao

A long, long time ago in the beautiful village of Saligao lived a family who moved from their beautiful ancestral home to the modern cities of Hyderabad. Years later their daughter decided to move back & open the doors of this beautiful house which now is her place of work. Keeping in mind the generations that dwelled here, Anisha Hassan transformed the house into a beautiful one of its kind restaurant in the heart of Saligao, serving mouth watering Hyderabadi signatures, just the way one would have it at home!!

Smoke on the water - Inspired by the popular rock song, a twisted cocktail made from Bourbon whiskey shaken over ice with fresh pineapple juice, sour mix & flambéed orange bitters.

Cranberry & Mint cooler - As cool as it gets.. A refreshing mocktail, assembled with cranberry juice & mint, topped with ice & sprite..

Espresso Martini - A little on the sweeter side if you ask me, but an absolute pleaser. Balieys shaken with kahlúa, a dash of hazelnut syrup & finished with coffee.

Sangria - As fruity as it can get. A delicious sangria made from the house Spanish wine mixed with a dash of fruity juices & cinnamon, before being covered with chopped fresh fruits.

Shikampuri Kabab - Double ground mutton kabab tempered with aromatic spices & served with sliced onions & mint chutney.

Stuffed Crab - Back fin crab meat, tempered with subtle spices, stuffed into the shell of the crab & breaded before being deep fried.

Haleem - The traditional slow cooked exotic stew from Hyderabad. A combination of Wheat cooked together with mutton, overnight, before being tempered with green cardamom & topped with fried onions.. Its to die for!

Nehari - The most famous of them all!! A recipe that has been handed down a few generations. Slow cooked mutton shank, cooked in a rich but light gravy, served with sheermal which is a traditional fried flat bread & onions.

Rosemary Merlot Lamb chops - Pan seared Indian lamb chops cooked to the bone, served with a side of mash potato & finished with a merlot pepper sauce.

Home-made tender coconut ice cream - Rich, smooth, mouth watering tender coconut ice cream, delicious to the core. Yup.. Its made in house!!

Khubani ka meetha - A desert fit for the royals.. Hyderabadi apricots, stewed, topped with fresh cream & garnished with almond flakes.
