Mediterranean grilled prawns

Seafood is most enjoyable in the European way, by enhancing the flavors of the sea with a few simple ingredients. Here’s one simple gourmet dish inspired by the cuisine of Harbor Grill of Bay 15 at Dona Paula.



Tiger prawns – 3no.

Olive oil – 4 tbsp

Salt & pepper – to taste

Paprika – 1tsp

Dijon Mustard – 1tbsp

For the herb rice:

Steamed rice – 3/4 cup

Parsley – 1 tbsp

Oegano – 1/2 tsp

Salt & pepper – to taste

Lemon juice – 2 tsp


  1. Begin the recipe by collecting your ‘Mise en place’.
  2. De shell the prawns and gut it. Wash under running water and pat dry. Add the mustard, salt, pepper & paprika. Mix well and leave aside for 10 min.
  3. Preparing the herb rice, begin by collecting the ingredients. Add 2 tbsp of olive oil to a pan. Add in the oregano & parsley along with the steamed rice. Season with salt & pepper, give it a quick toss over high heat and keep aside.
  4. Once the prawns have marinated, add the remaining 2 tbsp of oil to a pan & place the pan over  medium heat. Grill the prawns for about 2 min. On each side to cook perfectly.
  5. Place the prawns over the herb rice & garnish with a sprig of rosemary.. Voila!!
