Mushroom & Pea Pulao

Everyone loves a hot bowl of soup in the monsoon. Using an instant mushroom soup, I made some mushroom pulao with green peas, giving it my twist as usual. Simple to make, warm & comforting in the rains when at home.
Mushroom & Pea Pulao

Ingredients:
Mushroom Soup mix – 1 pack
Basmati Rice – 1 cup
Water – 4 ½ cup
Green peas – 50gm
Salt & Pepper – To taste
Method:
Wash the rice & leave aside. In a pot, combine the mushroom soup mix & water & bring to a boil. Add in the green peas & rice. Stir occasionally & keep covered on slow flame. Season if needed. Using a fork, mix the rice so that it doesn’t break. Once all the water has been absorbed, switch off the gas & keep covered for 2 min. Serve hot.
