This week, I decided to do something with basil. The ever popular aromatic herb making way in everyone’s house hold. In this recipe, I have used basil in such a way, that all the flavors of the dish are maintained by only tweaking the aroma with the herb. Enjoy!!
Tahina sauce –
Olive oil –
Lemon juice –
Basil leaves –
Soak chickpeas over night till double in size. Boil the chickpeas in water with some salt. Once cooked, strain and cool the chickpeas. Once room temperature, add the chickpeas, garlic, tahina & lemon juice to a blender. Pulse the blender using olive oil when required. Adjust taste and leave aside. Chop the basil fine and stir in to the hummus. Serve with pita bread.
